We at The Brooklyn Dance Centers have been bringing dance to the community for over 35 years.  We offer classes in a wide variety of styles for students of all ages.

Denise Rusinak, the studio’s founder and director, has assembled a strongly committed staff dedicated to developing technical skills for beginner through advanced levels.  Our staff is made up of caring teachers with extensive performing and teaching experience who hold college degrees in dance and are certified by Dance Educators of America.

We have a yearly recital to showcase our student’s talents plus we provide an opportunity for serious and devoted dancers to perform with our award winning competition team.

Whether you are interested in learning dance as a hobby, taking fitness classes to get in shape, or going on to be a professional dancer, we at The Brooklyn Dance Centers have the perfect program for you! Come experience for yourself what makes us the “Best in the Boro!”

Studio Information

  • Tuition: Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of every month. We accept cash, check, credit cards, venmo or Zelle. We suggest families sign up for reoccurring payments with a credit card to avoid a late fee of $10 on the 15th of the month.

  • Uniform: All dancers are required to follow our specified dress code.  Students must purchase their class uniforms through the studio ONLY. (Except Hip-Hop).

  • Attendance: Our season runs from September through the Recital. That is 9 full months, and typically 1-2 weeks in June (depending on the date of our Recital). We guarantee that all groups will have their 36 classes within the months of September to May - estimating 4 classes per month. We do not refund families for absences. Your child can make up their absence by attending an equivalent class that is offered on our schedule, at either of our locations. The child has until the end of the season to use their make up.

  • Performances: All students perform in a  Holiday Show in December, as well as and end of year recital in June.

  • Costumes: Costume deposits are due in November. The deposit for each costume is $35 which covers about half the price of each. The balances are due in January.

  • Recital Fee: A fee will be due in March, which will entitle your child to participate in the dress rehearsal, as well as receiving a commemorative t-shirt, DVD of the Recital, and participation in the dress rehearsal.

  • Class Cancellation: In the event that a particular class does not fill up, we reserve the right to cancel or change the time/day. If this happens, you will have the option of switching to another class or receiving a refund.
